Southport Press Unveils Logo

Southport Press, publisher of Mother Goosed: Twisted Rhymes for Modern Times,  has unveiled its logo, which was created by John Hambrock of Kenosha.  Thank you, John!

Look for this logo on future Southport Press projects, including its latest project that seeks artwork, including sequential art, flash fiction, and poetry from area authors and artists on the the theme of mythology, tall tales, legends and folklore.   Requirements for submissions to be posted soon here.

Southport Press will have a Website in 2010.  Currently, our domain, www.southportpress.com takes you to the home page of our parent nonprofit organization, Kenosha Community Media, Inc.

Saturday Night with Mother Goosed

MG_BirdHit the town on Saturday, November 14th during Second Saturdays in the downtown/Harborside/Union Park area of Kenosha from 6:00-9:00 p.m.  

Copies of Mother Goosed, fresh from the printer, will be on sale for only $10 each at several of your favorite locations: ArtWorks, Heim’s Downtown Toy Store, Carolyn’s Coffee Connection [at its brand new location!), and the Nook Cafe and Gallery.  Click here for a news release on the book’s release.

While you’re on the town, make sure you visit Lemon Street Gallery, 4601 Sheridan Road, as staff, volunteers, patrons, and all of Kenosha celebrates 10 years of Lemon Street Gallery as it provides an arts showcase, art events, and art instruction for the community.  Thank you, Lemon Street!
